Welcome to Hard To Find Books! |

|
This site has been developed to bring some of the most hard to find and rare books, documents, pamphlets and other publications to the general public. While rare book collectors will obviously be most interested in the hard copy version of these books, we have made the content available for educational, research and general purposes in electronic, e-book formats. This makes the delivery and widespread distribution of these rare books more possible and the content more generally accessible. Hard To Find Books has put a small fee on some of the e-books to cover the basic maintenance and labor costs responsible for bringing you such limited and rare books and publications. |
|
All works you receive from Hard To Find Books are high quality scans of original, rare books and publications in the public domain. These scans are then compiled into an e-book, using the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). We do not distribute files produced through Optical Character Recognition (yuck!). This will ensure that you are getting information directly from the horses mouth, without additional or abrigded content. Also, this method will bring you higher quality images and graphics, originally accompanying the text.

The Resurrection and The Life |

Hard to Find Books is dedicated to the revival of hard to find and rare books. It is these great works that are not only the foundation for today's literature, but that have greatly effected the ideas and social behavior of modern society. Whether it is the great economic ideas of Henry C. Carey, the inspirational and profound aesthetic concepts of Friedrich Schiller, or the obscure and occult beliefs of Aleister Crowley, in one way or another, they have had an effect on mankind. Much of this work has been pushed into the depths of library warehouses, specialty book stores, or university archives. These works will be revived and alive in the mind of man once again. Lazarus, come forth! |
